I don't think you'd find an eastern milk swimming around. The patterns look strange for a northern water snake, though. It also doesn't look like milksnake markings either, and the scales are visibly keeled, while milksnakes have smooth scales. I'm guessing it's a northern water snake (Nerodia sipedon). It would be better if the head was in the shot. lol Ah well, it's not a milk, though, I can say that much.
Looks like there's two, as well! The part of the snake in the upper left corner looks to thin to belong to the other part you see in the photo. I could be mistaken, though, that's just going off the photo. I didn't see it moving. lol
