I don't think you'd find an eastern milk swimming around.  The patterns look strange for a northern water snake, though.  It also doesn't look like milksnake markings either, and the scales are visibly keeled, while milksnakes have smooth scales.  I'm guessing it's a northern water snake (Nerodia sipedon).  It would be better if the head was in the shot. lol  Ah well, it's not a milk, though, I can say that much. :P

Looks like there's two, as well!  The part of the snake in the upper left corner looks to thin to belong to the other part you see in the photo.  I could be mistaken, though, that's just going off the photo.  I didn't see it moving. lol
